Job DescriptionThe Inspection, Labeling & Packaging Specialist serves as the subject matter expert for visual inspection, labeling and packaging operations. This position is responsible for ensuring compliance with current procedures, quality standards, regulatory requirements, and training programs. The specialist provides technical leadership for inspection qualification programs, develops and manages inspection qualification test sets, supports continuous improvement initiatives, and collaborates with cross-functional teams to maintain the highest standards of product quality and operational excellence.
- 1. Manage and continuously improve inspection qualification programs, including the creation, qualification, maintenance, and periodic review of inspection test sets.
- 2. Serve as the Training SME for visual inspection processes, defect classification, and inspector qualification requirements.
- 3. Monitor qualification performance, investigate inspection-related issues, and support corrective actions and process improvements.
- 4. Provide technical support and oversight for labeling and packaging operations, including troubleshooting, investigations, and process enhancements.
- 5. Develop and maintain training materials, qualification protocols, and competency assessments for inspectors and technicians.
- 6. Coordinate qualification and requalification activities and maintain training and qualification records.
- 7. Ensure compliance with GMPs, SOPs, quality systems, and regulatory requirements.
- 8. Support audits, investigations, CAPAs, change controls, and procedure revisions.
- 9. Analyze operational and quality data, identify improvement opportunities, and participate in cross-functional projects to improve quality, compliance, and efficiency.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Experience Required - 5 years of experience in lieu of degree
- Minimum of 2 years' manufacturing experience
- Lead Experience
- Visual inspection training
- Pharmaceutical Experience Preferred.
- Microsoft Word
- Microsoft Excel
- Strong knowledge of visual inspection processes, defect classification, and qualification requirements. Working knowledge of GMPs, quality systems, investigations, CAPAs, and regulatory expectations.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Ability to lead projects, train personnel, and collaborate across departments.
