Food Service Attendant / Cashier

Location:

Airway Heights, Washington (Fairchild AFB). Non‑Exempt, Full‑time.

Work schedule:

11:30am – 8:00pm, weekdays, weekends, and holidays. Compensation: $17.75 per hour, with an additional $5.09 per hour cash payout when qualifying health insurance is selected.

• Ring up food purchases on the cash register in the dining hall.
• Collect cash and credit card payments during meal periods and reconcile cash drawers with POS reports.
• Wash, store, and maintain dishes, pots, pans, utensils, and kitchen equipment following hygiene and safety standards.
• Monitor and replenish supplies according to schedule.
• Remove used dishware, utensils, and glassware promptly to maintain a welcoming dining experience.
• Clean tables, chairs, and surrounding areas after meal service.
• Empty trash and recycling bins; transport trash to outside disposal areas.
• Maintain entry and exit areas—sweep, mop, vacuum, and clean doors per schedule.
• Clean and sanitize restroom facilities and replenish supplies.
• Perform cashier duties as needed.
• Remove ice from areas up to 10feet outside each entrance and from parts of the loading dock.
• Communicate courteously and professionally with customers.
• Work independently and as part of a team while maintaining professionalism in appearance and demeanor.
• Perform any other duties as assigned.

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 0–3 years of experience in food service, cashiering, or janitorial work preferred.
• Combination of experience and education will be considered.
• Valid state driver’s license or , with ability to obtain and maintain coverage by Tessera’s insurance.
• Real‑‑compliant driver’s license, U.S. passport, or military  for access to the federal installation.
• Background check and E‑Verify required.

• Ability to lift or move up to 45 pounds.
• Ability to reach, kneel, walk, stand, and perform repetitive motion for extended periods.
• Standing or sitting for hours, climbing in and out of a vehicle, and walking up/down stairs may be required.
• Perseverance to work effectively under pressure for extended periods.
