E-Commerce Associate

Location: Spokane, WA

Employment Type: Part & / or Full-time / Hourly

Wage: $17.40 per hour

Responsible for acquiring items, writing descriptions, taking and uploading photos, answering customer questions, providing customer service, tracking online merchandise, and record‑keeping. Maintain a clean, organized, safe work area. Applicants must pass a background check.

• Acquire items, scan books, and list online on the Shop Goodwill/E‑Books website.
• Write accurate and succinct descriptions for auction sites.
• Take clear and detailed photographs of items.
• Upload pictures and descriptions to Shop Goodwill and other auction sites.
• Answer customer questions and follow up on complaints under direction of the E‑Commerce Manager or Assistant Manager.
• Track packages through shipping systems via individual tracking numbers.
• Shelve books, audio media, and DVDs on proper shelves.
• Work collaboratively with Workforce and Family Services to provide participant services.
• Communicate known customer issues to Management timely.
• Recognize brand stamps and possess working knowledge of precious metals, gemstones, and synthetics.
• Use jewelry testing equipment such as sonic cleaner, Gem‑O‑Ro, and gold testing equipment.
• Maintain knowledge of software for E‑Books processing and accept/reject books for online sites.
• Have working knowledge of Amazon, eBay, and other auction websites as directed.
• Use Picasa or equivalent software to upload images.
• Follow all Goodwill policies, safety, PPE, confidentiality, and regulatory requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• High school diploma or GED.
• One to three months of related experience, training, or equivalent education/experience combination.
• Willingness and ability to adhere to Goodwill Industries directives and standards.
• Background check clearance.
• Strong customer service orientation.
• Attention to detail and ability to work independently.
