The Assistant Store Manager supports the Store Manager in overseeing all store operations in Spokane, WA. The role focuses on people, customer service, store performance, and shrink reduction, leading a team to achieve sales and profit goals while ensuring exceptional customer service.

• Assist in recruiting and selecting talented individuals and develop succession plans.
• Ensure consistent application of performance management practices, including appraisals, counseling, and development plans while maintaining compliance with company HR policies.
• Address employee relations issues in partnership with Store Manager and District Manager.
• Prioritize safety by upholding company safety policies and ensuring the well-being of advisors and customers.

• Support the Store Manager in addressing service issues within the assigned store.
• Respond promptly and effectively to all customer inquiries.
• Ensure a high level of customer service excellence is achieved consistently and daily.

• Support management in monitoring actual expenditures to stay within budgetary constraints.
• Assist in controlling payroll hours to align with the budget while adjusting to changing business trends.
• Support and maintain a safe, accident‑free environment for customers and advisors by adhering to state, local, and federal regulations.

• Support and assist in championing loss prevention initiatives and awareness programs.
• Assist in meeting company shrink reduction goals.
• Oversee proper merchandising presentation and organization in accordance with company guidelines and processes.
• Identify and elevate inventory discrepancies as needed.

May perform other duties as assigned and/or required.

• High School Diploma or equivalent. Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
• Two (2) or more years of retail management experience preferred.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and car insurance.

• Stand, walk, and move throughout the store for up to 100% of the workday.
• Certain tasks include occasional bending, squatting, kneeling, climbing, reaching, and stooping.
• Occasionally lift, carry, push, and pull objects weighing up to 20 pounds.
