The Beauty Advisor (BA) is responsible for providing an exceptional experience for all Ulta Beauty guests by engaging each guest to determine their individual needs, performing cashier tasks, stocking fixtures, maintaining overall store cleanliness, and completing tasks as assigned. The BA supports the leadership team through performance, guest service, and process excellence. This position requires a passion for the beauty industry, exceptional guest service, and the ability to learn and communicate product knowledge.

• Contribute to meeting or exceeding the store’s goals related to retail and service sales, guest loyalty, omni‑channel sales, and retail shrink.
• Ensure that each guest receives exceptional service by greeting and engaging each guest, personalizing service, answering product questions, informing guests about promotions and recommendations.
• Handle customer service, sales, refunds, exchanges, and assist with online orders in a courteous manner.
• Perform makeup applications, skin‑care analysis, and product demonstrations to enhance the guest experience and drive sales.
• Book appointments and support the execution of services and in‑store events that deliver an unrivaled guest experience while achieving sales goals.
• Stay informed regarding new and existing products and services, continuously improving product knowledge.
• Maintain prompt, regular attendance.

• Contribute to an inclusive environment that supports teammates, peers, and guests.
• Share the benefits of the guest loyalty program, including credit and the Ulta Beauty app.
• Collaborate with managers and associates throughout the store to grow the business.
• Participate in ongoing training, including brand and category education.

• Be knowledgeable of and ensure compliance with Ulta Beauty’s policies, procedures, and standards.
• Adhere to Ulta Beauty’s dress code.
• Drive sales by keeping the assigned work area replenished, signed and faced, and ensuring testers are available.
• Maintain outstanding store standards and overall cleanliness of salesfloor, restrooms, cashwrap, backroom, and break area.
• Participate in merchandise resets, planograms, marketing displays, inventory procedures, and shipment processing/unloading using Ulta Beauty’s technology.
• Protect company assets by following loss prevention best practices.
• Execute other operational tasks as directed.

• High school diploma is preferred.

• 1 year of relevant work experience or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.

• Demonstrates a passion for guest service and competency for selling.
• Proficient with basic technology (e.g., Point of Sale system and Apple devices).
• Ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships.
• Ability to troubleshoot.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Work a flexible schedule to include days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

• Continuous mobility throughout the store during shift.
• Frequent standing, bending, pulling, pushing, reaching, and twisting during shift.
• Continuous and/or frequent lifting, carrying, and/or moving up to 25 lbs. during shift.
• Continuous coordination and manipulation of objects during shift.
