Primary

Job Responsibilities

Safety

  • Maintain a safe work environment for employees and customers.
  • Keep gas pumps, lot, and store areas clean and debris free.
  • Conduct monthly safety team meetings and trainings.
  • Report safety incidents promptly and comply with policies.

Leadership and Personnel Management

  • Train, develop, guide, and evaluate employees.
  • Maintain a professional image among subordinates and supervisors.
  • Prepare and submit employee paperwork accurately and timely.
  • Provide continuous on-the-job and company training.
  • Motivate, give feedback, and recognize employees.
  • Address employee performance and violation issues.
  • Set and communicate performance expectations.
  • Develop potential employees for promotion.
  • Carry out all company policies.

Customer Service and Site Relationships

  • Provide prompt and courteous customer service at the gas pump and store.
  • Accurately process sales on the POS system and comply with cash handling procedures.
  • Develop positive relationships with customers, vendors, and contractors.
  • Responsibility for all cash, monies, and inventory during shifts.
  • Liaise with staff to keep the store clean, stocked, and organized for fast service.
  • Promote programs and suggestive selling.
  • Assist customers with product location and equipment operation.
  • Solicit customer feedback and resolve complaints quickly.
  • Promote loyalty rewards and maintain a positive public image.

Business and Financial Management

  • Plan and manage store activities to maximize operating profit.
  • Monitor fuel sales volume and competitor pricing to aid pricing decisions.
  • Monitor merchandise, food movement, and competitor offerings for product mix strategies.
  • Maintain store layout and product displays.
  • Execute store-level sales promotions.
  • Manage inventory to ensure optimal stocking levels.
  • Control operating expenses, including maintenance and utilities.
  • Prepare and submit daily sales reports and bank deposits.
  • Safeguard all money received and disbursed.
  • Organize and maintain site files and manuals.
  • Receive merchandise using proper check-in procedures.
  • Obtain all required food and age-restricted product certifications within 2 weeks of employment.

Facilities Management

  • Assist in maintaining appearance standards of paving, lighting, canopy, and other structures.
  • Report facility issues as needed.
  • Ensure facilities and equipment are in safe working order.
  • Maintain dispensing and store equipment.
  • Ensure required signage and decals are posted.

Personnel Assistance

  • Maintain a professional and supportive image among subordinates and supervisors.
  • Work with the Store Manager to improve teamwork and provide training assistance.
  • Assist with staffing and labor scheduling.

Physical Demands

  • Stand or walk entire shift.
  • See with 20/40 vision.
  • Communicate information clearly.
  • Follow safety procedures.
  • Perform frequent reaching, gripping, and wrist movements for restocking and POS operation.
  • Squat and kneel frequently.
  • Push or pull up to 20 pounds.
  • Lift 20 pounds or less, occasionally up to 50 pounds.
  • Climb steps or ladders as needed.

Qualifications

  • At least 21 years of age.
  • Legal authorization to work permanently in the United States.
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • Experience in retail sales and cash handling preferred.

    Basic math proficiency. n
  • Previous supervisory experience preferred.
