Retail Cashier

SSP is seeking a Retail Cashier to support our telecommunications retail operations. In this role, you will greet customers, process cash and electronic transactions, and accurately manage a POS system. You'll answer basic questions about wireless products and services, handle bill payments, and direct customers to technical or sales specialists as needed. The cashier will balance drawers, maintain organized, secure front-counter areas, and follow all cash-handling and safety procedures.

You'll work closely with the store team to deliver professional, reliable service in a fast-paced environment while upholding SSP's safety-first and customer-focused culture.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and provide friendly, professional service at the retail counter
• Process cash, credit, and electronic payments accurately using the POS system
• Handle bill payments and basic transactions for wireless and telecom services
• Answer basic customer questions and direct complex inquiries to sales or technical staff
• Balance cash drawers and reconcile daily transactions following company procedures
• Maintain a clean, organized, and secure checkout and front-counter area
• Follow SSP's safety and security guidelines for handling cash and customer data
• Assist with light merchandising, stocking, and promotional displays near the register
• Collaborate with the store team to meet customer service and operational goals
• Report discrepancies, equipment issues, or customer concerns to the supervisor promptly
