About the Department
The Cardiometabolic Care Sales Team leads U.S. sales for Novo Nordisk’s cardiometabolic product portfolio, including therapies for diabetes, obesity, and prevention of major adverse cardiovascular events. The team works cross‑collaboratively to advance disease management by introducing new therapies and building advocacy in local markets.
The PositionExecute local Sales and Marketing strategies to promote Novo Nordisk products to health care professionals (HCPs) such as hepatology or gastroenterology specialists and key customers, consistently achieving goals and maximizing sales.
RelationshipsExternally, maintain relationships with physicians, pharmacists, nurses, and other key personnel in health care settings, major academic and community health systems. Internally, report to the District Business Manager and collaborate with field‑based employees (DBM, DCS, Market Access Team, Diabetes Educators, Medical Liaisons) to coordinate outreach and share customer insights.

- Recognizes opportunities to productively challenge HCP clinical management and adds value by sharing new insights
- Evaluates patient and practice needs with a patient‑centric approach and tailors interactions accordingly
- Uses guidelines, chronic care models, protocols, etc., to engage HCPs in clinical conversations about diabetes and NNI products
- Exercises prudent control over samples and company property in accordance with policies and legal requirements
- Manages discretionary territory and marketing budgets to support sales goals
