Leading Hand - Maintenance

MACA Mining are seeking a Leading Hand to join our maintenance team at our Sanjiv Ridge project. The Sanjiv Ridge iron ore mine, owned by Atlas Iron, is situated in the Pilbara region of WA approximately 240 kilometres from Port Hedland.

The fleet onsite consist of CAT 785D, CAT 785C dump trucks, Komatsu 1250, Liebherr R9150 excavators, CAT
777D watercart, CAT 16M Grader, CAT D10T Dozer, Epiroc T45 Drill Rigs

Key responsibilities:

• Possess a positive leadership style, with exceptional time‑management skills and the ability to pivot around priorities while providing guidance, assistance, and supervision to the maintenance team.
• Manage performance, planning servicing, repair and preventative maintenance on all heavy mobile mining equipment.
• Ensure work health and safety policies and procedures are adhered to.
• Ensure all required paperwork is completed to a high standard by tradespeople.
• Must be proactive in the workplace to ensure quality work is being completed.
• Must comply with reasonable request from the supervisor.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Relevant Australian Recognised Trade Cert
• Extensive Cat experience on 785 C/D
• Minimum of 8 years post trade experience in the mining industry
• Good leadership and people skills
• Basic computer skills
