(GTC) is an expanded network of 19 dealerships doing business as Gordon Truck Centers, Freightliner Northwest, Western Star Northwest, Trailer Craft, Western Mountain Bus and Freightliner of Hawaii. As a full-service Freightliner, Western Star, Wilson Trailer dealership family, GTC can sell, finance, insure and service commercial trucks for medium and heavy‑duty applications.

• Run diagnostic tests and analyze results.
• Repair or replace vehicle engines, steering mechanisms, transmissions, and braking systems.
• Working knowledge of engines, transmissions, differential, A/C and suspensions.
• Determine unit condition by conducting inspections & diagnostic tests, identifying deficiencies.
• Able to read schematics for electrical and air systems.
• Develop technical skills through training opportunities.
• Test equipment after repair or assembly to ensure proper performance and compliance with manufacturers' specifications; make necessary adjustments if required.
• Ensure the cleanliness of the mobile service truck.

Heavy equipment dealership experience is helpful; two years or more preferred. Three years of actual truck repair experience required. Must have a valid driver’s license and be insurable. CDL‑A is a plus. Valid DOT Medical Examiner's Certificate or ability to obtain.

$20.00 - $50.00 per hour based upon level of skill and experience. Night shift, weekend shift, and lead/mentor differential pay available.

Work schedule and shifts will vary depending on business needs. We can accommodate a wide range of shifts and schedules.

For insurability and safety purposes, GTC uses front and rear facing dash cameras in all company vehicles.

A full complement of tools required for diesel equipment repair including wrenches and sockets to 1 ¼”, 3/8” and ½” drive air tools, floor creeper and a roll around tool cabinet.

Working in, under, and around trucks and trailers. Ability to drive a vehicle, lift, push or pull objects of various shapes, sizes and weights, up to 100 pounds. Safely walk, reach, bend, climb, push, twist, squat and kneel as necessary to perform the essential job duties. Safely walk and stand for extended periods of time. Use a telephone and computer.

Primarily outdoor work. High noise level. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to moving mechanical parts and vehicles. Coveralls, ear and eye protection provided.
