Krueger Sheet Metal, a sheet metal manufacturer, commercial roofing contractor, and architectural sheet metal installer, is seeking a Roofing Foreman.
The Roofing Foreman will supervise and coordinate the installation and repair of low‑sloped roofing and waterproofing projects. This includes scheduling the crew of roofers, operating equipment, and maintaining jobsite housekeeping and organization. The Foreman will also provide training to the roofing crew.
Supervisor Responsibilities- Directly supervise and coordinate the duties of roof workers.
- Consult blueprints, designs, and details for proper roof installation.
- Ensure roof details and installation meet manufacturer warranty requirements.
- Create and enforce employee schedules to meet construction timelines.
- Oversee a crew of 3-10 roofers/laborers.
- Oversee training of new crew members.
- Track material stock to ensure the project is completed on schedule.
- Restore, remove, and replace various roof systems.
- Practice extreme procedures to protect customers’ property during the roofing process.
- Protect the building and adjacent buildings during current projects.
- Document all costs and ensure that expenses never exceed the construction budget.
- Maintain a safe work environment according to OSHA standards.
- Lead daily safety meetings.
- Complete daily reports to document production and any changes in work.
- Communicate with customers throughout the installation.
Not limited to:
- Install new roofs and roofing materials on commercial buildings.
- Inspect roofs to identify issues needing repair and determine best repair solution.
- Measure roof and calculate materials needed to complete the project.
- Repair existing roofs and install replacement roofing materials.
- Replace plywood, joists, or other materials that are damaged or rotting.
- Transport materials and equipment via truck to the jobsite.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Knowledge of roofing materials and installation.
- Reliable and self‑motivated.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Ability to follow instructions.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to use hand and power tools.
- Proficient math skills to calculate the amount of materials needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in roofing and construction.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Must be able to work at heights.
- Physically able to climb, stand, walk, kneel, and crouch for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to lift fifty pounds at a time to lift and carry roofing materials.
- Ability to work in various weather conditions.
- $40/hr (after taxes and benefits)
