Roofer Journeyman

Krueger Sheet Metal, a sheet metal manufacturer, commercial roofing contractor, and architectural sheet metal installer, is seeking a roofer.

The Roofer will install and repair roofs with single-ply membranes (PVC, TPO, EPDM), Built-up roof systems (modified bitumen, APP, torch-applied), and/or coatings (PMMA, aluminum, flood coats, etc.). The Roofer will also install waterproofing and other roofing materials.

• Installs new roofs and roofing materials on commercial buildings
• Inspects roofs to identify any issues in need of repair and to determine best repair solution
• Measures roof and calculates materials needed to complete the project
• Repairs existing roofs and install replacement roofing materials
• Replaces plywood, joists, or other materials that are damaged or rotting
• Transports materials and equipment via truck to the jobsite
• Performs other related duties as assigned

• Knowledge of roofing materials and installation
• Ability to work as part of a team
• Ability to follow instructions
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to use hand and power tools
• Proficient math skills to calculate the amount of materials needed

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Previous experience in roofing preferred

• Must be able to work at heights
• Physically able to climb, stand, walk, kneel, and crouch for extended periods of time
• Must be able to lift fifty pounds at a time to lift and carry roofing materials
