Role OverviewThe Pest Control Technician performs industry‑leading pest management services for residential customers. Responsibilities include identifying, eliminating, and preventing pest infestations, maintaining equipment, and communicating solutions to clients while adhering to safety regulations.
Responsibilities- Conduct thorough inspections of client properties to identify signs of infestations, damage, and entry points.
- Apply approved pest control products—chemicals, baits, and traps—to effectively eliminate pests while adhering to safety standards.
- Educate customers on prevention methods and maintain a pest‑free environment.
- Build customer relationships, manage appointments, and assist with sales to current and new customers.
- Maintain pest control equipment, ensuring it is stocked and functional.
- Adhere to local, state, and federal regulations regarding pest control products and safety protocols.
- Drive and safely operate a company‑provided service vehicle.
- Work in tight, confined spaces such as basements, attics, and crawl spaces.
- Interact with animals, insects, and termites.
- Handle mechanical parts, vehicles, electrical current, heights, scaffolding, fumes, dust, and chemicals safely.
- Operate in all local climates with company‑provided weather gear.
- Perform physical tasks including sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling.
- Wear personal protective equipment, such as an OSHA‑compliant respirator.
- Clean shaven face for safety reasons.
- High school diploma or GED, or related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Valid driver’s license from state of residence.
- Licenses or certificates required by federal, state, or local regulations (covered by the employer).
- Available to work Monday‑Friday and weekends as needed.
- Openness to learning and becoming knowledgeable in all areas of pest control.
- Solid reading, writing, and verbal communication skills.
- Basic math skills for mixing on product labels.
- Customer‑facing experience preferred.
Hourly: $17.60 – $22.98 (subject to geographic location, skills, education, and experience). Total earnings may be affected by overtime, incentives, commissions, performance, and route assignment where applicable.
