Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a pay rate ranging from $22 to $25 per hour.

This role is essential in supporting reconstruction efforts for our clients. Qualified candidates will have a solid foundation in carpentry and tool usage. The primary learning environment is on-the-job training (OJT) through hands-on experience and collaboration with seasoned carpenters. Entry-Level Carpenters have three development stages to enhance their skills: (1) improve supervisory abilities from managing small, unskilled labor teams to larger groups including BELFOR personnel and skilled subcontractors;

(2) gain proficiency with carpenter tools and BELFOR equipment; and (3) develop an understanding of specific field operations in the restoration industry. This position represents level 2 in our Progressive Carpenter track.

• Follow directions from experienced carpenters and supervisors
• Safely move and protect contents to avoid damage
• Construct containment areas to manage construction dust, dirt, and airborne contaminants
• Utilize appropriate tools and BELFOR methods for tasks like flood cutting, salvaging, and labeling baseboards, cabinets, doors, etc.
• Acquire comprehensive material knowledge regarding trims, doors, and cabinetry types
• Gain proficiency in the installation of various insulation types
• Develop an understanding of framing, trim installation, and cabinetry installation under supervision
