Chiller Technician

McKinstry is expanding the role of our Chiller division Team throughout Eastern Washington and the surrounding areas with the addition of new customers and the growing Data Center demand for Chiller work. We are actively seeking a Chiller Technician who is familiar with maintenance, repairs, and installation of chillers for commercial customers. The technician will work with customers regarding any issues discovered while servicing their chiller systems and making the necessary recommendations to assure that their equipment is operating at its peak efficiency.

The Chiller Technician will also work on a variety of projects for new installations, startup and assist with any commissioning of the equipment to ensure that the system is operating under the factory specifications required.

Chiller Technician requirements for employment:

• Technician Experience – The technician applying for this position preferably should have 3-5 years of experience air cooled chilled, any experience with water cooled chillers is a plus.
• Customer Service – The candidate should be comfortable and confident to be able to discuss the functionality & operations with the customer and make the proper recommendations based on what is best for the customer and their system.
• This chiller position is a union position under local 44 in Spokane (Traveler cards negotiated if coming from another union).
• Eastern Washington/Northern Idaho Travel
  - The technician that is seeking this role will need to be willing to travel throughout Eastern Washington & Northern Idaho to service & maintain the customer base that McKinstry currently has throughout the region.
• The Technician will have to have a high level of technical ability and a strong work ethic with great communication skills
• The following licenses/certifications:
  Universal Refrigerant Card, WA 06A.
• Great organizational skills and be able to multi-task under pressure to resolve problems that could potentially arise at any time.
• Be able to complete tasks without guidance and supervision and be able to solve problems on your own at times.
• Working in a result-oriented environment, where you’ll be expected to do more and take on more while growing yourself in a fast-paced environment.
• Having fun in an environment high on transparency and having a supportive management organization.

The pay range for this role is $47.00 – $58.00 per hour; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This is a non-exempt role and will be paid hourly. A bonus may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.

Base pay information is based on market location.
