Job Description Job duties may include but are not limited to the following:

• Read blueprints/instructions and examine surfaces to determine the kind and amount of work necessary
• Make on-site preparations such as building scaffolding, covering fixtures etc.
• Prepare walls, pipes, vessels and other surfaces for painting by scraping, using sandpaper, removing old paint etc.
• Fill cracks and holes with appropriate material (e.g., plaster)
• Mix paint and other materials to prepare the right color or texture
• Paint surfaces according to instructions with various tools
• Apply other coating finishes such as intumescent fireproofing
• Follow established safety rules and regulations and maintain a safe and clean environment
• Ability to perform all job duties and associated work functions in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner
• Perform other related duties as assigned
• Ability to follow instructions from supervisors and foremen
• This position is safety-sensitive.

• Minimum of 1 year of professional painting experience or similar
• Must be at least 18 years old
• Able to withstand prolonged periods standing and working outside
• Physically able to perform assigned tasks
• Must be comfortable working from heights
• Must have reliable transportation
