Job Overview

Acme Handyman Services, a locally owned franchise of Ace Hardware, is looking for highly motivated Craftsmen and Craftswomen to join our team in McHenry, IL. The role involves performing a variety of home repair and improvement tasks across multiple trades while delivering exceptional customer service.

• Complete tasks in plumbing, carpentry, tile, electrical, drywall, painting, flooring, and decking as assigned.
• Assess job sites, identify additional repair opportunities, and communicate them to homeowners and property managers.
• Work independently from home to job site, ensuring timely and professional completion of assignments.
• Maintain a clean‑cut appearance, organized tools, and a vehicle capable of hauling materials and equipment.
• Troubleshoot problems on the spot and provide prompt, professional solutions.
• Maintain high customer satisfaction by exceeding expectations and following company standards.

• Proven skills in at least three of the following trades: plumbing, carpentry, tile, electrical, drywall, painting, flooring, or decking.
• Strong problem‑solving and communication skills; must be able to interact effectively with customers, office personnel, suppliers, and commercial clients.
• Owns a reliable vehicle capable of transporting tools, ladders, drywall, plywood, and other materials.
• Independent thinker who can manage daily workloads without direct supervision.
• Clean‑cut appearance, organized inventory of tools, and a presentable vehicle.
