We’re on the hunt for a highly skilled, certified Petroleum Equipment Service Technician to join our growing team in Spokane, WA. Pay starts at $22/hr and increases with experience, and the role includes benefits such as PTO, 401k, a company truck, a gas card, a cell phone, a laptop, and more.
Responsibilities- Install, maintain, and repair fuel dispensers, underground and above ground storage tanks, piping systems, and related petroleum equipment.
- Troubleshoot and service electrical and mechanical components of fuel systems, including sensors, leak detection, and monitoring systems.
- Calibrate and test fuel dispensing systems and POS interfaces to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulations.
- Perform routine preventative maintenance and inspections on fueling systems and report deficiencies.
- Respond to emergency service calls and equipment failures to minimize downtime at customer sites.
- Ensure all work complies with local, state, and federal environmental and safety regulations, including UST/AST requirements.
- Maintain detailed service records, test results, inspection logs, and maintenance reports.
- Interface professionally with customers, vendors, inspectors, and site personnel.
- Adhere to and promote all company safety policies, including lockout/tagout, confined space, and hazardous material handling.
- Stay current with industry standards, manufacturer training, and certifications.
- Hands‑on experience with fueling systems, including dispensers (Gilbarco, Wayne), submersible pumps, piping, and tank systems.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting electrical, mechanical, and electronic equipment, including circuit diagnostics and component replacement.
- Background in servicing or installing POS systems, tank monitors (Veeder‑Root), and interstitial monitoring systems.
- Experience with tools, test equipment, and diagnostic software used in fuel system servicing.
- Prior work in field service environments, responding to on‑site issues with minimal supervision.
- Certifications or training such as Gilbarco Passport, Gilbarco Dispenser, Gasboy, Fuel Master, Verifone, Wayne Dispenser, ICC Service Tech Certifications, UST/AST operator certifications, or HAZWOPER.
- Proven ability to interpret technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and installation drawings.
- History of safe work practices, including work in hazardous locations and spill response.
- Strong customer service skills, punctuality, and ability to work independently or as part of a service crew.
Some positions require travel and overnight stays. Travel expenses will be covered by Nwestco, LLC.
Employment Conditions- Must pass a pre‑employment physical that includes lifting up to 75 lb, twisting, pulling, kneeling, and squatting.
- Must pass a pre‑employment drug‑screening and background check. This is a safety‑sensitive position and requires a comprehensive drug test, including screening for marijuana.
