Job Summary

Petroleum Equipment Service Technician – Spokane, WA. Pay starts at $22/hr and increases with experience. Benefits include PTO, 401k, company truck, gas card, cell phone, laptop, and more.

Your Mission
  • Install, maintain, and repair fuel dispensers, underground and above ground storage tanks, piping systems, and related petroleum equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and service electrical and mechanical components of fuel systems, including sensors, leak detection, and monitoring systems.
  • Calibrate and test fuel dispensing systems and POS interfaces to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulations.
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance and inspections on fueling systems and report deficiencies.
  • Respond to emergency service calls and equipment failures to minimize downtime at customer sites.
  • Ensure all work complies with local, state, and federal environmental and safety regulations, including UST/AST requirements.
  • Maintain detailed service records, test results, inspection logs, and maintenance reports.
  • Interface professionally with customers, vendors, inspectors, and site personnel.
  • Adhere to and promote all company safety policies, including lockout/tagout, confined space, and hazardous material handling.
  • Stay current with industry standards, manufacturer training, and certifications.
What You Bring to the Table
  • Hands‑on experience with fueling systems including dispensers (Gilbarco, Wayne), submersible pumps, piping, and tank systems.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting electrical, mechanical, and electronic equipment, including circuit diagnostics and component replacement.
  • Background in servicing or installing POS systems, tank monitors (e.g., Veeder-Root), and interstitial monitoring systems.
  • Experience working with tools, test equipment, and diagnostic software used in fuel system servicing.
  • Prior work in field service environments, responding to on‑site issues with minimal supervision.
  • Certifications or training such as Gilbarco Passport, Gilbarco Dispenser, Gasboy, Fuel Master, Verifone, Wayne Dispenser, ICC Service Tech Certifications, UST/AST operator certifications, or HAZWOPER.
  • Proven ability to interpret technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and installation drawings.
  • History of safe work practices, including work in hazardous locations and spill response.
  • Strong customer service skills, punctuality, and ability to work independently or as part of a service crew.
Before You Leap
  • Some positions require travel and overnight stays. Travel expenses will be covered by Nwestco, LLC.
  • Position is classified as safety‑sensitive; must pass a comprehensive drug test, including screening for marijuana.
  • Must pass a pre‑employment physical with extensive lifting (up to 75 lb), twisting, pulling, kneeling, and squatting.
  • Must pass drug screening and background check. Must have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record over the past five years.
