Overview
A reputable construction company is seeking a skilled and experienced Equipment Operator to join our team in Washington DC. As a part-time employee you will have the opportunity to work flexible hours while operating various types of equipment on construction sites. This position is ideal for individuals looking for a part-time job or students studying in the area.
Responsibilities- Operate heavy equipment such as bulldozers, excavators and loaders according to safety guidelines.
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment and report any malfunctions or damages.
- Read and interpret blueprints to ensure accurate placement of materials.
- Communicate with team members to coordinate tasks and ensure efficiency.
- Follow all safety procedures and regulations on the job site.
- Keep accurate records of daily activities and report any issues or concerns to superiors.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience operating heavy equipment in a construction setting.
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and follow instructions accurately.
- Physically fit and able to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Excellent hand‑eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Familiarity with different types of heavy equipment and their functions.
We offer a competitive salary of $1100 per week for this part‑time position.
