As a Public Works Maintenance Technician, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, from repairing gas and diesel engines to operating heavy equipment such as tractors and backhoes. Your expertise in welding, fabrication, and water or wastewater systems will be highly valued, and you’ll be supported by a team that encourages professional growth and skill development.
We are looking for candidates with strong mechanical knowledge, the ability to safely operate heavy machinery, and a willingness to learn and adapt. Good communication and computer skills are essential, as is the ability to lift 50+ pounds and work on your feet for extended periods. A valid driver’s license and clean driving record are required, and you’ll need to obtain a Washington State Pesticide License within your first year of employment.
In return, we offer a competitive starting wage of $43,000 to $48,000 per year, depending on experience, along with a comprehensive benefits package. This full-time position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement, ensuring fair compensation and job security.
