Overview
Job Site Success Coach – Spokane, Washington (In-person). This role is part of Tessera, a national leader in creating employment opportunities for individuals with disabilities and veterans, operating in 15 states and Washington, D.C. The position is non‑exempt, hourly and part‑time with a pay band of $20.58 – $26.75 per hour (actual range $22.28 – $23.00 per hour). The Coach supports up to 15 active clients and their support circles, primarily in the community and workplace.
Responsibilities- Manage client caseload and provide post‑employment services, spending 78% of time supporting clients either in the community or in the office.
- Use a person‑centered approach to train, coach, encourage, and mentor clients toward employment goals.
- Develop job aids and identify assistive technology to help clients succeed.
- Foster purposeful connections with client supervisors, managers, and employers to support client employment.
- Document progress, maintain case files, case notes, and billings in the information management system in compliance with contract and program guidelines.
- Provide on‑site and remote coaching, 1:1 training, and job aid creation to improve client performance.
- Conduct vocational assessments, continuous intake, observation and incident reports, and create job development plans with clients.
- Provide training and consultations to employers and workforce partners.
- Maintain confidentiality of all client information following HIPAA guidelines and Tessera program rules.
- Operate Tessera‑provided or personal vehicle for job duties when required.
- Prepare for and participate in internal/external audits.
- Attend continuing education, training, staff meetings, and one‑on‑one mentoring sessions with the CES Manager.
- Represent Tessera at networking events, job fairs, and other outreach activities.
- Provide coverage for other team members and perform any other duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma or GED required;
Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Education, Human Services, Social Work, or related field highly preferred. - At least one year of relevant experience highly preferred.
- Valid state driver’s license required and ability to obtain and maintain coverage by Tessera’s insurance.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain applicable security clearances and installation access; a background check, E‑Verify, and a Washington State DSHS background check will be required.
- Strong time‑management, professional written and oral communication, and organizational skills.
- Self‑directed with the ability to work independently and in a team.
- Proficiency with technology used to provide services remotely and to instruct clients.
- Knowledge of community resources to refer clients as needed.
- Experience in creating job aids, interpreting assistive technology, and developing strategies to overcome employment obstacles.
