In collaboration with local residents, schools, and partner organizations, The ZONE works to remove barriers, amplify strengths, and provide opportunities for children, youth, and families to thrive. Our Economic Mobility Program provides integrated financial coaching, employment support, and housing navigation to help community members achieve lasting self‑sufficiency.

Role Description

The ZONE Economic Mobility Case Manager joins a team providing direct services to individuals and families working toward financial stability, employment, and stable housing. This position carries a caseload of participants enrolled in The ZONE's Economic Mobility Program, delivering comprehensive case management that integrates financial coaching, employment supports, housing navigation, and goal‑based planning. The ideal candidate is highly organized, trauma‑informed, and passionate about walking alongside community members as they build long‑term economic resilience.

Key Responsibilities Case Management & Client Services
  • Conduct comprehensive intake assessments and develop individualized service plans in collaboration with each participant.
  • Maintain an active caseload, providing ongoing case management services including regular check‑ins, goal tracking, and barrier resolution.
  • Coordinate wraparound services with internal program staff and external community partners.
  • Facilitate warm referrals and follow‑up with partner agencies to ensure continuity of care.
  • Support participants through major life transitions including job placement, housing changes, and benefit navigation.
Financial Coaching & Economic Mobility
  • Provide one‑on‑one financial coaching sessions addressing budgeting, debt management, benefit over payment obligations, savings, and credit building.
  • Assist participants in identifying and addressing financial barriers to employment and housing stability.
  • Connect participants with income supports, financial assistance programs, and matched savings opportunities.
  • Support participants in understanding and navigating benefit systems including DSHS, Social Security, and other public assistance programs.
  • Track participant progress toward financial goals and adjust service plans accordingly.
Employment Supports
  • Assist participants with job readiness activities including resume development, interview preparation, and job search strategies.
  • Identify and connect participants with training programs, vocational education, apprenticeships, and workforce development resources.
  • Build and maintain relationships with local employers to facilitate job placement opportunities for program participants.
  • Support participants in retaining employment and navigating workplace challenges.
Housing Supports
  • Provide housing navigation services including assistance with rental applications, landlord communication, and move‑in support.
  • Connect participants with emergency housing resources, rental assistance programs, and housing diversion services as needed.
  • Support participants in maintaining housing stability by addressing financial, legal, and social barriers.
  • Collaborate with housing partners, shelter providers, and community organizations to expand housing access.
Documentation & Data Management
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and complete case files in accordance with program standards and funder requirements.
  • Enter case notes, service plans, and outcome data into the designated case management system within required time frames.
  • Prepare participant progress reports and support completion of program‑level reporting for funders.
  • Ensure all documentation complies with confidentiality standards and organizational policies.
  • Participate in case file audits and quality assurance processes as required.
Qualifications Required
  • Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Human Services, Education, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
