Overview
Paratransit Driver
We are currently on the lookout for an experienced Bus Driver to join our elite team in Spokane, WA. As a key member, you will be entrusted with ensuring safe and comfortable transportation for our passengers, while upholding the highest standards of professionalism and customer service.

- Paid Sick Leave: 4 hrs monthly for employees who work over 80 hours a month; anything over 160 hours worked is 1 hour for every 40 hours worked
- Holidays: 9 days; 8 standard and 1 floating
- CBA Position:
Full-Time - Position Subject To Collective Bargaining Agreement
- $24.00 - $29.00 (Union Payscale);
Starting pay $24.00 with progression to $25.00 over 1 year
- Safety-Focused Operations:
Execute operations by following designated routes and schedules, adhering to safety protocols and traffic regulations. - Passenger Care:
Provide care and assistance to passengers, ensuring smooth boarding, comfortable rides, and timely disembarkation. - Vehicle Vigilance:
Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections, report maintenance issues, and maintain cleanliness and safety equipment readiness. - Adherence to Protocols:
Uphold company policies and procedures, including seat belt enforcement, emergency preparedness, and regulatory compliance. - Other duties as required
- 21 years or older
- Valid CDL Class C with passenger endorsement, or a valid driver’s license for a minimum of 3 years with the ability to obtain a CDL through paid training
- Minimum 3 years of driving experience (personal or professional)
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work shifts or flexible schedules as needed
- Subject to a DOT drug testing and physical if applicable. DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize the use of Schedule I drugs, including cannabis
The essential functions of this position require the ability to:
- Work outside in varying temperatures and weather conditions; 100% of the job is performed outside; work alone and in remote locations
- Sit for extended periods (up to 6–8 hours per day); frequently walk for long distances; may involve sloped ground, slippery or uneven surfaces
- Push/pull objects up to 200 pounds; lift up to 50 lbs; occasional bending, kneeling, or crouching
- Withstand heavy traffic areas and exposure to dust, vehicle fumes, and noise
