Truck Driver CDL A Regional

Position Overview

Ryder is hiring a Class A CDL Truck Driver in Spokane, WA to drive a long haul tractor‑trailer and deliver freight to Eastern Washington, Idaho, Wyoming, and Montana.

• $1550 or more per week
• Hourly Pay: $32.75 per hour
• Average hours per week: 40‑50
• Layover Pay: $36.05 per night (2‑3 nights out per week)
• Paid training
• Schedule:
  
  Monday – Friday
• Start time: 2:00 AM – 6:00 AM

• Deliver freight to Eastern WA, , WY, MT on a home‑daily or regional schedule
• Operate a sleeper‑cab tractor with an APU
• Drive 42' and 48' flatbed trailers equipped with a trailer‑mounted forklift
• Handle touch freight, including strapping and unstrapping
• Auto restriction OK
• Load/unload freight or assist in loading/unloading as required by the customer
• Maintain accurate records and logs
• Ensure compliance with federal and state laws, regulations, and safety guidelines
• Perform other duties as assigned

Trucks are 36 months or newer, include 24/7 roadside maintenance, and drivers fuel the trucks at over 800 maintenance facilities nationwide.

• Minimum 21 years of age
• Pass a Ryder drug test
• Pass a Ryder background and motor‑vehicle check, including drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
• Pass a DOT physical
• Pass a Ryder road test
• Provide an appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position
• Must have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor‑trailer or comparable vehicle:
• 9 months experience within the past 3 years, or
• 2 years’ experience within the last 5 years, or
• 5 years’ experience within the last 10 years
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
• Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies, and/or procedures

Some positions require additional screening that may include employment and education verification, motor‑vehicle records checks and a road test; and/or badging or background requirements of the customer to which you are assigned.
