Class A Crane Operator/Driver Pay:
Starting at $31.94 to $38.00 an hour, depending on experience and needs to have current NCCCO certification and TSS for Fixed Cab.
Schedule:
Monday-Friday, starting 6 am and working until all loads for the day have been delivered.
Location:
Sunnyside, Washington At PARR, the Driver Crane position is essential to fulfilling the needs of our customers by making sure they are receiving their orders on-time and in great condition. This position is responsible for driving trusses to jobsites and using their crane to safely drop material off. The ideal crane driver is someone driven to maintain safety regulations and provide above and beyond customer service.
The Driver Crane reports directly to the Production Manager and interacts daily with external customers such as framers, homeowners, and builders. The internal customers this position works with includes Dispatchers, the Production Manager, and General Manager.
Qualifications Must be 21 years old or older
Class A CDL required
Air-brake endorsement required
Current NCCCO certification
Current DOT Medical Card Acceptable driving record
Ability to speak, write, and read English required
Knowledge of vehicle safety audits and reports of any malfunctioning equipment as required by Federal and state regulations and company policy
Ability to manage time and routes for a streamlined delivery experience
Familiarity with GPS devices or map applications
Driving experience within 50-mile radius of primary location preferred
Duties and Responsibilities Safely and efficiently load and unload building materials from commercial motor vehicle
Legally, safely, and efficiently travel to destinations through public and private roads
Learns and uses route planning and optimization
Follow delivery procedures by taking photos of delivered shipment after completing each delivery
Maintain yard, warehouse, and vehicle cleanliness during course of work
Keep truck supplied, organized, and clean
Check load for accuracy
Proactively manages job site conditions for next delivery and communicates with other
Perform daily pre-trip and post trip inspections of all equipment
Perform required safety audit of vehicle (daily safety audits, weekly brake inspections, crane inspections) and promptly report any malfunctioning equipment as required by Federal and state regulations and company policy
Promptly report all accidents/incidents
Writes legibly on all materials
Annually update driver's qualification file as required by Federal and state regulations and company policy
Provides required paperwork and scanning for dispatch
Ensures that all material transported on the truck has a delivery packet which includes the truss layout and truss engineering and delivery ticket
Provides feedback related to customers, jobsites, issues, etc.
Reads and follows instructions on deliveries
Contacts customers before next delivery
Establishes good relationships with sales team and seeks to be their "eyes and ears" in the field
Establish and maintain professional relationships with customers, contractors, and vendors
Assists other team members with work when appropriate
Perform other related duties as assigned
This position will be working at a truss manufacturing facility and making deliveries at jobsites in all weather conditions
