Terminal Manager | Shift: Monday‑Friday, 6:00am – 2:30pm PST | Wage Scale: $21.00 or more depending on experience.

The Terminal Operator performs procedures involved with loading trucks and unloading railroad cars. This position assists in the maintenance of terminal equipment and grounds.
Responsibilities- Promote and follow all plant safety guidelines.
- Assure proper cement types are loaded into bulk trucks.
- Operate pneumatic and mechanical equipment for truck loading from computer console using programmed screens, keyboard, and mouse.
- Assure proper cement types are unloaded from railcars into designated silos without contamination of cement types, using pneumatic and hydraulic railcar unloading equipment.
- Operate power sweeper, forklift truck, and front‑end loader.
- Use credit approval lists, cement inventory reports, and approved shipping instructions to determine if a customer's request for cement can be loaded.
- Maintain shipping logs, prepare bills of lading, and calculate split‑load tonnages based on a trucker's instructions.
- Handle inquiries and orders for customers and sales personnel.
- Perform general cleanup duties around the loading area.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisor.
- High school graduation or equivalent is required.
- Proficient in English written, verbal communication, and listening skills.
- Proficient in customer service skills.
- Ability to operate the loading systems used in loading trucks and railcars.
- Ability to operate sweeper and general hand tools.
- Ability to perform basic arithmetic calculations to calculate loads going into trucks.
- Ability to use terminal equipment and computerized systems.
- Proficiency in database input.
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair basic mechanical, pneumatic and minor electrical malfunctions.
- Ability to operate all terminal equipment, including railcar vibrators, silos, and related equipment, switch engines, and rail cars.
- Knowledge of terminal operation policies and procedures.
- Ability to work under close supervision with standard practice procedures and guidelines.
- Ability to refer all problems to supervisor for guidance.
