Pay
$23.17 - $25.30 hourly
Qualifications- Class B CDL or higher
- 21 years old or over
- Current DOT Medical Card
- Acceptable driving record
- Ability to speak, write, and read English required
- Knowledge of vehicle safety audits and ability to report any malfunctioning equipment to federal and state regulations and company policy
- Ability to manage time and routes for a streamlined delivery experience
- Open and transparent communication
- Familiarity with GPS devices or map applications
- Driving experience within 50-mile radius of primary location preferred
- Safely and efficiently load and unload building materials from commercial motor vehicle
- Legally, safely, and efficiently travel to destinations through public and private roads
- Complete mileage and fuel usage reports
- Demonstrate commitment to on‑time and full deliveries
- Learn and use route planning and optimization
- Take photos of delivered shipment after each delivery
- Perform daily pre‑trip and post‑trip inspections of all equipment
- Establish and maintain professional relationships with customers, contractors, and vendors
- Perform required safety audits of vehicle (daily safety audits, weekly brake inspections) and report malfunctioning equipment per regulations and company policy
- Report all accidents/incidents promptly
- Annually update driver’s qualification file per regulations and policy
- Use downtime productively
- Keep truck supplied, organized, and clean
- Come to work professionally attired
- Check load accuracy
- Proactively manage job site conditions for next delivery and communicate
- Always provide required paperwork and scanning for dispatch
- Seek to learn product application for end users
- Demonstrate knowledge of tie‑down rules and regulations
- Understand weight, height, and length limits
- Ensure all material transported has invoice or Material Returns Form
- Operate truck‑mounted forklift to load, unload, and place materials at customer locations and job sites
- Conduct daily inspections of forklift, mounting system, hydraulics, forks, chains, and safety devices
- Properly mount and dismount forklift from truck according to company procedures
- Lift, transport, and place materials with precision and care to prevent product damage
- Assess job‑site conditions before forklift operation
- Maintain safe exclusion zones during unloading and ensure custodian and bystander safety
- Follow all forklift safety protocols, including load limits, stability guidelines, and proper fork positioning
- Must be able to lift up to 90 lbs.
- Must be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Ability to sit for an extended period of time
- Ability to stoop, bend, and walk
- 2 weeks of vacation per year on day1, increasing to 4 weeks up to 4 years
