In this role you will drive our commercial vehicles—including side, super or belly dump trucks (with and without pups), tankers, water trucks, and transfer trucks—to deliver asphalt and aggregates to job sites and customers. You will work on projects of all sizes, playing an integral part as we reinvent how the world is built.
Wage$38.28/hr – $54.68/hr DOE, with potential for overtime.
Note:
This position is governed by a collective bargaining agreement. Starting wage will be determined by hours worked and union status under the applicable collective bargaining agreement.

- Perform pre‑trip and post‑trip inspection of vehicle to ensure safe operational order and report maintenance or repair issues.
- Operate trucks to deliver materials to construction and customer sites safely and efficiently, obeying applicable laws and dispatch instructions.
- Ensure tailgate is latched and sideboards, trailer tongues, and back of truck are free of all materials before loading.
- Pull levers to tilt body and dump contents; shovel material as required; set spreader chains when applicable.
- Check delivery tickets for special instructions and complete prior to arrival; obtain proper signatures; deliver materials at instructed sites and enter on-the-job information on customer delivery invoices.
- Monitor gauges during operation, investigate abnormalities, complete written reports of problems or necessary repairs, and forward to maintenance personnel.
- Detect and report improper operation, faulty equipment, defective materials, and unusual conditions to shop personnel.
- Perform operator maintenance and minor field repairs (e.g., mud flaps and mirror adjustments).
- Move material as necessary in the performance of the job or as directed.
- Maintain vehicle in a clean and orderly condition, inside and out, following prescribed safety rules and regulations.
- Maintain operator logs, time cards, mileage sheets, vehicle repair sheets, and records in accordance with company policy and departmental transportation regulations.
- Cross‑train on various trucks and equipment as needed.
- Promptly communicate with supervisors about any flaws in material.
- Take action to avoid potential hazards or obstructions.
- Perform other tasks and duties as assigned to meet business needs.
- Maintain regular and timely attendance.

Minimum Qualifications- Safety‑minded professional with good performance, attendance, and punctuality.
- Must pass pre‑employment physical exam and pre‑employment controlled substance testing.
- Demonstrates the ability to work overtime and weekends/holidays as needed.
- Conforms to and maintains OSHA, MSHA, DOT, and all other company or state rules and regulations.
- Has current US Authorization to work or the ability to obtain it without company assistance before the start date.
- Valid Class A CDL and medical card.
- Current member of or able to join Teamsters Local #174.
