Job Summary
The Yard Driver is responsible for moving tractor trailers to and from the loading docks and parking loaded or empty trailers in designated areas. The Yard Driver will also transport tractor trailers to off‑site maintenance and/or inspection facilities, perform local city driving, and ensure all driving is completed safely in accordance with Company policies and Department of Transportation (Use the "Apply for this Job" box below). Responsibilities include fueling, moving, and parking tractors and trailers, maintaining safety checks, handling necessary paperwork, and performing general housekeeping duties in the tractor and loading dock area.
Shiftand Compensation
- Sunday – Thursday
- 12:00 PM – 8:30 PM
- $23 – $25 per hour depending on experience

- Perform all required safety checks (pre/post trip) and inspections of tractor/truck and trailer according to DOT regulations.
- Follow all DOT regulations and company safe driving guidelines.
- Safely move trailers to/from loading docks and designated parking areas.
- Complete and return all necessary paperwork related to off‑site maintenance and/or inspection facility interactions.
- Ensure that tractor, trailer, and freight are securely locked at all times.
- Perform general housekeeping duties in the tractor and loading dock area.
- Secure all equipment and complete all necessary paperwork at the end of the shift.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience.
- Valid CDL
A. - Minimum age 21 years.
- Must be able to work scheduled times and required overtime.
- Meet all State licensing and/or certification requirements.
- Clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) for past 3 years.
- Pass pre‑employment drug test.
- Pass road test.
- Valid current DOT Health Card or ability to secure one.
