This role requires new hires to attend a two‑week Academy training out of state. Expenses are covered by the company and the training is paid.
Clean Harbors in Spokane, WA is seeking a Class B Driver (Retail Technician) to provide comprehensive environmental services including collection and disposal of damaged, discarded, or recalled products; recycling of light bulbs, oil, oil filters, engine fluids and other materials; and on‑site cleanup activities.

- Pick up, pack and transport damaged, discarded and recalled goods.
- Load, pack and segregate materials and waste products.
- Drive a box truck and visit retail customer sites.
- Interact with customers at each stop.
- Prepare DOT shipping documents.
- Use a laptop, printer, handheld, and iPhone to complete tasks.
- Conduct projects/jobs in accordance with federal, state and local regulations and Clean Harbors policies.
- Execute jobs at customer locations including Fortune 500 companies.
- Prepare and approve all projects before shipment in accordance with OSHA, EPA, DOT and company policies.
- Understand customer‑specific disposal restrictions and packaging requirements.
- Ensure drum counts are correct and drum conditions are shippable per company policy.
- Follow all local, state and federal compliance regulations and rules.
- Safely operate vehicles in accordance with U.S. DOT and other requirements.
- Observe all company environmental health and safety operating guidelines.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Valid Class B CDL required.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Proficiency using a laptop, handheld, printer and iPhone.
- Obtain hazmat and tanker endorsement within 90 days of hire.
- Ability to perform physical functions required by the job.
- Successful completion of background check, drug test and physical exam.
- Meet facial hair standards as required by OSHA respirator standard 29 CFR 1910.34.
- Previous commercial driving experience.
- Previous route experience.
- Previous manual labor experience.
