Job Location:

Employment Basis:
Full-Time, Permanent (1-year minimum commitment)

Base Compensation: ~$41,475 annually (approx. $19.94/hr equivalent)

Overtime / Benefits:

ARD Transportation is seeking dedicated, reliable Light Vehicle Delivery Drivers to execute local and regional transport, route dispatching, and accurate delivery of goods and packages across Georgia. The driver plays a critical front-line role in ensuring timely distribution, cargo integrity, and exemplary customer satisfaction.

• Vehicle Operation:
  Safely operate light commercial delivery vehicles (cargo vans, sprinter vans, or box trucks under 26,000 lbs GVWR) in strict compliance with federal, state, and local highway safety rules.
• Route & Schedule Execution:
  Follow predetermined daily navigation manifests, dispatch instructions, and time-sensitive delivery schedules across urban, suburban, and rural routes.
• Cargo Handling & Distribution:
  Load, secure, transport, and offload merchandise, cartons, and materials. Ensure appropriate load distribution and prevent damage in transit.
• Pre-Trip & Post-Trip Inspections:
  Conduct routine vehicle inspections (tire pressure, fluid levels, lights, brakes) and immediately report mechanical defects or maintenance needs.
• Delivery Verification & Documentation:
  Utilize handheld electronic scanners and mobile manifest devices to verify parcel barcodes, capture customer signatures, and record delivery statuses.
• Physical Workload:
  Frequently lift, push, pull, and manoeuvre packages typically weighing up to 50-70 lbs using hand trucks, dollies, and safe manual lifting practices.

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS

• Valid driver’s license from country of origin with an impeccable driving safety record (must be eligible to obtain a Georgia Driver’s License upon arrival).
• Ability to pass pre-employment DOT/employer drug screening, physical fitness assessment, and background checks.
• Comfortable with extensive daily driving, navigation tools (GPS), varying weather, and physical loading/unloading tasks.
• Strong professional reliability, punctual work ethic, and functional conversational English proficiency.
