Smile Design Hernando is looking for an experienced, patient-focused Dental Hygienist to join our welcoming team in Spring Hill, FL. This is a full-time opportunity, with flexibility for part-time candidates as well. We’re ideally seeking a hygienist with 4+ years of experience who values quality care, patient education, and working in a supportive, family-style environment.
Schedule- Monday: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM
- Tuesday: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Thursday: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
- Total: ~25 scheduled hours/week

Smile Design Hernando is a well-established, patient-centered dental practice committed to delivering high-quality, comprehensive care. Led by Dr. Bessada, the office has evolved into a perio-focused practice with a strong emphasis on patient education and clinical excellence.
Minimum Qualifications- Current dental hygienist license in Florida and an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in dental hygiene (where required)
- Excellent working knowledge of dentistry, dental hygiene procedures, dental patient screening and medical history documentation
- CPR Certification
- 1+ years of clinical experience as a dental hygienist is required.
- Experience using Velscope, Diagnodent, digital scanner, digital x-rays and electronic medical record systems
- Desire to continue learning and grow clinical skills to meet needs of patients and provide preventative care and overall maintenance of patients’ dental health
- Clinical needs as required by office
- Ability to perform essential duties as deemed necessary by the Office/Doctor/Heartland Dental with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Prolonged periods sitting and standing
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 45 pounds at times
- Availability to attend virtual training sessions (or in‑person) periodically throughout the year
- As part of our commitment to maintaining a safe and healthy environment for both team members and patients, a tuberculosis (TB) test is required for all new hires in dental office positions. This is a standard requirement for dental office roles and must be completed prior to starting employment.
