Job Description About the RoleThis is a casual position with up to 40 hours per week available.
The position and responsibilities of this role is to ensure the school’s campuses / facilities, are always maintained in a clean and safe manner.
Key Responsibilities- Able to drive school buggy
- Open Car License Required - Efficient handling of waste management including confidential waste around the whole campus
- Efficient delivery of stores, including handling/delivery of laundry
- Pressure cleaning of school grounds
- Ensure vehicles are kept clean and report any issues as soon as occur
- To be flexible in the demands, and contactable to attend operational needs of the School
- To report any defects, repairs and Hazards immediately to the Cleaning Services Manager, Facilities Manager or Director of Facilities
- Reliable, fast and physically fit
- Be flexible to the changing demands of the posts
- Strong time management abilities to meet deadlines and prioritise tasks
- Ability to follow verbal directions and be always contactable throughout the day (during working hours)
- High attention to detail
- Positive response to requests
- An understanding of Manual Handling, and Chemical safety and Handling, (MSDS) and be willing to undertake ongoing training
- Reporting all defects/hazards immediately when encountered on the job
- Work well under pressure, remain calm
- To have the relevant visa to legally work full time in Australia
- Basic computer skills, to access the School leave request & payslip program
- To have an open QLD car license
- Hold or eligible for a positive notice and a blue card (Working with Children Check)
