High School Guidance Counselor - Bishop McLaughlin Catholic High School

Bishop McLaughlin Catholic High School in Pasco County is looking for a dedicated and experienced full‑time High School Guidance Counselor for the 2026‑2027 academic year. The chosen candidate will play a vital role in providing guidance counseling services to support the school community, aligning with the school's faith‑based mission and values.

• Wholehearted commitment to the mission and values of Catholic Education.
• Master’s degree in Counselor Education or a related counseling field.
• Possession of a valid FLDOE Professional Certificate or Statement of Eligibility in Guidance and Counseling (Gr. PK‑12).
• Familiarity with educational programs like FACTS, Canvas, Parchment, College Admissions, FL Bright Futures, FL Virtual School, College Board, and ACT.
• Preferred minimum of three years of experience in high school counseling.

• Provide individual and group counseling to students to support their academic, personal, and social development.
• Collaborate with faculty, parents, and external organizations to create programs that enhance students' well‑being and educational success.
• Assist students in developing academic and post‑secondary plans that align with their goals and aspirations.
• Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify and address students' needs and concerns effectively.
