Job Description
We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Medical Assistant to support both clinical and administrative functions in our healthcare practice. The Medical Assistant will work closely with providers and staff to ensure efficient patient flow, accurate documentation, and high-quality patient care.
Responsibilities- Work across multiple floors and locations that see 250-300 patients daily.
- Room patients and record vital signs and medical histories.
- Prepare patients for examinations and procedures.
- Assist providers during exams and treatments.
- Perform clinical tasks such as specimen collection, and phlebotomy (as permitted).
- Administer medications and vaccines per provider orders and scope of practice.
- Ensure exam rooms are clean, stocked, and properly prepared.
- Proven experience in patient care and medical assisting.
- Strong phlebotomy skills and comfort with blood draws.
- Familiarity with medical records and electronic health records (EHR).
- Proficient in medical terminology and customer service.
- Ability to measure and document blood pressure accurately.
Skills & Qualifications
- CMA or RMA certification preferred.
- Experience with front desk operations and EMR systems.
- A steady work history is highly valued.
The position is located in an outpatient cancer facility with a compassionate business culture focused on making a difference in patients' lives. The role offers growth opportunities within the organization, including assistance with additional certification and training costs. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM, with no weekend shifts. Please note that the facility does not handle pediatric cases.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Spring Hill, FL.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr.
