AboutThe Role
Reworld in Spring Hill, FL is hiring for an experienced Crane Operator.
Position Responsibilities- The Crane Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the refuse crane, including feeding hoppers and maintaining the correct levels of refuse fuel in the boiler hoppers, as well as mixing and leveling refuse in the pit.
- The Crane Operator will also perform routine inspections of the overhead cranes/grapples to ensure the integrity of the equipment, as well as routine maintenance and housekeeping.
- Observe the tipping of delivery trucks for unacceptable and hazardous waste.
- Participate in boiler cleanings.
- Complete the required Reworld training within the assigned timelines.
- Perform other duties as directed by the Shift Supervisor.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.
- Must be mechanically inclined and able to inspect equipment to ensure optimal operations of machinery.
- Three to six months Crane experience and/or training preferred.
- Formal technical or apprentice training is desirable, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as rules, technical procedures, operating and maintenance instructions, and other procedure manuals.
- Ability to log onto a computer and complete online assigned training.
- Cleans and removes dirt and debris from equipment, floors, buildings, driveways, etc.
- This position works on a rotating 12‑hour shift, including weekends and some holidays. Overtime will be required.
- Ability to walk, stand, sit, and climb.
- Ability to lift/carry 50 lbs.
- Ability to work from heights and in confined spaces.
- Qualify to wear a full-face respirator.

Pay TransparencyReworld is committed to paying its staff equitably, and we strive to provide competitive compensation and benefits packages. The range below reflects Reworld’s reasonable estimate of base pay for this role based on primary posting location. It is expected that most qualified candidates in this location will fall within the posting range. The final salary offered for this role will be determined based on factors including, but not limited to: experience, education, geographic location, skills and competencies, travel requirements and/or union contracts (if applicable).
Pay ranges are reviewed from time to time and may be modified in the future.
The pay range for the primary location of this position is: $47,400.00 - $63,100.00 USD. For hourly roles, this is the annualized salary. To calculate the hourly rate, divide by 2080.
