Developmental Technician, Refrigeration​/HVAC Maintenance

Spring Hill, FL – Walmart Supercenter #967, 1485 Commercial Way.

Walmart is hiring Developmental Technicians specializing in Refrigeration and HVAC Maintenance for our local retail store. In this role you will perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure the safety, functionality, and aesthetics of Walmart stores, equipment, and fixtures under the supervision of the local General Maintenance Manager.

• All primary responsibilities are assisted or performed under the direct supervision of an experienced technician.
• Maintain and repair Walmart facilities, equipment, and assets using multiple craft skills (plumbing, electrical, carpentry, material handling equipment, food equipment) and hand, power, and other tools.
• Use the work order management system to receive reactive repair work orders, support store associates, and document repair activities.
• Provide prompt response to emergency maintenance calls.
• Inspect, operate, or test facilities, equipment, or fixtures to diagnose issues.
• Complete all required training to operate equipment and tools safely.

• 18 years or older with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs., work on ladders and at heights, operate in various temperatures, and sit or stand for long periods.
• Hold a valid, state‑issued driver’s license with a clean driving record and ability to pass a motor vehicle record (MVR) report.
• Type I and Type II Environmental Protection Agency certification for refrigerant handling.

• Mechanical maintenance or construction related experience in commercial HVAC/R and building controls.
