As a Supermarket Rack Refrigeration HVAC Technician at a Walmart local retail store, you will support and oversee repair operations within the Walmart facilities Refrigeration HVAC equipment team. Your responsibilities include utilizing commercial HVAC and refrigeration skills and tools—hand tools, digital tools, power tools, and other equipment—to complete jobs efficiently and safely.

• Maintain and repair Walmart facility refrigeration HVAC equipment and assets.
• Use the work order management system to receive repair work orders, support stores and store associates, and document repair activities.
• Respond promptly to emergency maintenance calls.
• Inspect, operate, or test facilities, equipment, or fixtures to diagnose issues.
• Complete all required training to operate equipment and tools safely.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations by performing work according to the Walmart Refrigeration HVAC safety policy and environmental guidelines.
• Lift up to 75 pounds and work at heights, moving up and down ladders as needed.

• 2 years’ experience in commercial refrigeration HVAC maintenance.
• Large‑scale rack refrigeration experience.
• Type I/Type II or Universal EPA certification for refrigerant handling.
• Valid state‑issued driver’s license with a clean driving record and ability to pass an MVR report.
• 18 years or older with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Preferred:
  Vocational or technical HVAC/R certification and 2 or 4 years of experience in mechanical maintenance or construction‑related field for commercial HVAC/R and building controls.

• Completion of a 2‑year vocational or technical HVAC/R program.
• Mechanical license in the city and/or state where the job is located.

• Hourly wage range $23.00 – $45.00, based on skill set, experience, job level, and other factors.
• Eligible for bonus incentives and additional premiums up to $3.00 per hour in certain circumstances.
