Pool Maintenance Technician (CPO)Location:
Brooksville, FL area (Spring Hill/Brooksville). Full-time, 40 hours per week; multiple shifts may be available.
Overview
Pool technician role supporting maintenance across multiple properties in the Brooksville/Spring Hill area. This is a full-time position with a focus on safe, compliant pool operations and guest safety.
Responsibilities- Comply with all local, county, and state ordinances governing the maintenance and operation of swimming pools and spas.
- Follow Richman Property Services (RPS) Swimming Pool Policy.
- Inspect pool areas to ensure fencing and gates are in good working order with automatic self-latching closures.
- Ensure Vac Pac systems are locked when not in service.
- Ensure pool rules are posted in full view and in good condition.
- Inspect safety equipment (shepherd’s hook, ring buoy) to ensure accessibility and good condition.
- Ensure NO DIVING signs are clearly posted and stenciled on the pool deck.
- Test pool chemicals (chlorine, pH, total alkalinity, calcium hardness, and TDS) and record results on the daily pool log.
- Clean filters, vacuums, sweep surfaces and tiles, and inspect all pool-related equipment and areas.
- Make repairs to pool-related equipment when necessary.
- Ensure pool drains are in good repair and in compliance with applicable standards.
- Record findings on the daily pool inspection log.
- Education:
High school diploma or GED required; trade or technical school education or industry-related courses preferred. - Experience:
Minimum three (3) years as a maintenance technician in multi-family residential settings. - Licenses &
Certifications:
Certified Pool Operator (CPO) license and EPA I & II or EPA Universal required; valid driver’s license active. - Skills:
Knowledge of pool maintenance, water chemical balance, carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and use of power tools; ability to assess damage and estimate repair costs. - Regulatory:
Knowledge of local, state, and federal laws; knowledge of Fair Housing Laws; good record-keeping and organization. - Other:
Must be able to work with minimal supervision; own tools where applicable; truck ownership preferred. - Language:
English required; bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
