Job Description Overall Purpose and Objective of PositionThis position is responsible for timely and accurate submission, coordination, analysis and printing of export documentation for all US Cotton shipments. This will require positive, thoughtful interaction with external ocean carriers, warehouses, and internal execution teams to identify, improve, and ultimately automate the documentation process positioning LDC as the top provider of clean on time documents to buyers globally.
Primary Responsibilities/Essential Functions- Track, trace, submit, review, print, and deliver electronic documents for all US Cotton shipments including but not limited to Ocean bills of lading, AES export filings, and Phytosanitary applications and certifications.
- Perform analysis of current state logistics and execution processes, documentation, organization, and systems, and identify standard operating procedures and business improvements to incorporate into automated state processes.
- Assist in the definition of requirements and significant tasks for projects and automation within logistics and execution on a routine basis to constantly change and place LDC as the leader of processing automated and communicating electronic documentation globally
- Support fellow team members in collaborating with both internal and external sources to resolve issues and develop committed relationships.
- Communicate directly with warehouses, ocean carriers, and agents on behalf of LDC.

Associate or Bachelor's degree in business related discipline, preferred.

Three to four years of import or export shipping experience, or experience in operations or logistics.

- Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills and creative problem-solving skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities, prioritize workloads and perform multiple tasks that might have conflicting priorities.
- History of applying varied approaches to analyze and solve business challenges.
- Broad range of computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft programs, especially MS Word, Excel, Power Point, Power BI, One Note and SharePoint will be beneficial.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Comfortable working with individuals at all organizational levels.
- Personal honesty, competence and integrity in functional leadership in international execution, processes, tools and techniques.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with all levels of employees as well as outside parties to communicate expectations and make recommendations to facilitate change.
- Self-directed with a high sense of urgency and strong bias for action in a highly dynamic and demanding work environment.
- Demonstrated experience and effectiveness to work in cross-cultural and geographically dispersed teams.
- Directly accountable for maintaining strict confidentiality when handling sensitive information to protect the interests of the Company.
This position is performing analysis on a daily basis that impacts the results of the company. Able to work unsupervised in a fast-paced environment with multiple levels of management. Make recommendations for the business based on sound analysis.
