Spring Hill Christian Academy and Early Learning serves preschool to 8th grade children of Spring Hill, Thompson Station, Columbia, and surrounding areas in Middle Tennessee. We are a private Christian school dedicated to academic excellence from a Biblical worldview. Our Pre‑K classes focus on Kindergarten‑readiness in a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment. Our mission is to support parents in raising young men and women that are able to reason, discern, and apply Truth as the Lord leads them to achieve their fullest potential.

This is accomplished by way of Scripture, the time‑proven tools of classical education, small class sizes, and cultivating a family‑like community.

We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and engaging pre‑K/Kindergarten lead teacher to guide a classroom of young children in a variety of educational activities, including arts and crafts, free play, storytelling, and class lessons. Your prime responsibility is to teach them the fundamental concepts they need to know for kindergarten, such as identifying numbers and letters, socializing well with others, and working effectively in a classroom structure.

Patience, compassion, and energy are all vital qualities of a successful pre‑K/Kindergarten teacher. You should be capable of inspiring, encouraging, and developing young children, each of whom will have different abilities, challenges, and personalities. The top candidates will also have a creative mindset and good administrative skills in order to plan and execute lessons that are memorable, innovative, and achieve the desired learning outcomes.

• Teach children core concepts such as numbers, letters, shapes, patterns, and colors.
• Use creative, hands‑on methods of learning, such as artistic expression, free play, and storytelling.
• Plan a curriculum that addresses early childhood education requirements.
• Encourage and monitor social interactions between children.
• Instill a sense of respect and discipline so that children work effectively in a classroom setting.
• Supervise children outside of class time, such as during lunch, on the playground, or on field trips.
• Ensure the classroom is clean, safe, fun, and well‑organized.
• Set up the materials and work spaces required for class activities.
• Communicate with parents to learn more about each child's life outside the classroom.
• Provide regular updates to parents.
• Create reports to inform parents about their children's progress at school.

• Past experience teaching children in the pre‑K/Kindergarten age group.
• Ability to educate with age‑appropriate language and teaching methods.
• Patience, optimism, compassion, enthusiasm, and empathy.
• Mediation skills for resolving conflicts between children.
• Creative mindset to plan innovative, exciting lessons.
• Ability to follow direction and be a team player.
• Ability to stand as a positive role model for impressionable minds.
