Seasonal Part Time Surgical Tech First Assist – 250004T1

Inter Health Staffing, the for‑profit staffing division of Tampa General Hospital (TGH), offers a seasonal 13‑week assignment for a Surgical Technologist (First Assist) at the Spring Hill campus. Workers will assist physicians during examinations and procedures, perform patient tests, administer medications, and support nursing care plans.

• Evaluate assigned patients and plan, implement, and document nursing care.
• Assist physicians during examinations and procedures.
• Perform various patient tests and administer medications within the scope of practice of the registered nurse.
• Promote patients' independence by establishing patient‑care goals and teaching patients and families to understand conditions, medications, and self‑care skills 21.
• Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate of a certified surgical technician program and a recognized first assistant training program.
• At least one year experience as a surgical tech.
• BLS required through American Heart Association or Red Cross.

Part‑time:
Monday through Friday. Two eight‑hour shifts per week and at least two on‑call shifts per week with one full weekend of on‑call per month.
