Based at Spring Hill Corrections Facility

Support people in our care to rehabilitate

te tūnga | About the role
  • Case Managers provide specialist, end to end case management with prisoners including initial assessment, identification of prisoner needs, case planning and preparing prisoners for release.
  • Using a range of services and techniques, they work with external agencies and the prisoners' Whānau to support prisoners as they rehabilitate.
Mōu | About you
  • Knowledge and experience working with Māori and Pacific Peoples and their whanau and communities.
  • Rehabilitation and reintegration related disciplines and practices.
  • Effective relationship management and communication skills.
  • The ability to motivate and support prisoners to make positive changes.
  • Experience and knowledge in Māori Language and cultural protocols and processes within Māori Communities, and of Māori Community structures and dynamics.
  • Full, clean NZ Drivers Licence.
  • Central to the role will be the ability to exercise sound professional judgement to ensure that prisoner needs, and services are appropriately identified and aligned to prisoner need.
Utu ā-tau | Salary

The starting salary for this role is $70,956 with the possibility to progress to $91,307. Appointment and remuneration will reflect skills and experience relevant to the role.
