School-Based Speech Language Pathologist | Decherd, Tennessee

Job Description

Make a meaningful impact supporting students in a local school setting through a rewarding contract opportunity for a qualified Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP). This onsite role focuses on providing expert speech and language services to a PreK-5th grade caseload of approximately 30 students. Enjoy flexibility with this position, which offers part-time (three days per week) with an option to go full-time for the right candidate.

Immediate start is available through June 2027.

Required Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
• Active state licensure for Speech-Language Pathology
• Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC)
• Previous experience in a school setting is preferred
• Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
• Ability to provide both direct and consultative services to students and staff

Primary Responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and deliver speech-language therapy services to a diverse caseload (PreK-5th)
• Write and implement individualized education programs (IEPs)
• Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary team members to support student progress
• Maintain accurate documentation and progress notes in compliance with school and state requirements
• Attend team meetings, as needed, to contribute expertise and coordinate services
