HLA Lab

This position is responsible for communication between HIL and Transplant Teams Regarding Patient Samples, orders, Results, and Reports. This position should demonstrate appropriate experience and knowledge to utilize EPIC, Histo Trac, Unet, and NMDP, and other Histocompatibility Lab software.
Excellent organizational, oral and written communication skills, and 3-5 years of HLA Laboratory Experience required.

• Maintains communication with the transplant Program via Phone/email/TEAMS
• Ensure that all testing and sample related questions are followed up and resolved.
• Responds to inquiries regarding Result status
• Maintains UNOS Active waitlist in Histo Trac
• Maintains NMDP form submission for form 22/form 117
• Maintains communication with Biotouch,and monitor the monthly waitlist batch upload.
• Assist in maintaining UNOS Database for TIEDI, Unacceptable updates, and HLA verification.
• Assist in maintaining NKR database for Unacceptable listing, and HLA Typing entering or verifying
• Assist in ordering and reporting virtual cross matches.
• Contribute to HIL test Analysis, Review, signoff, and Reporting.
• Contribute to QC and PT reviews, and proper documentation.
• Participate in patient/ Donor selection meetings as needed.

• Data Analysis:
  Possesses sufficient fundamental proficiency to successfully demonstrate data analysis in practical data analysis applications of moderate difficulty. Navigates within established technology environments to locate, validate, extract, and format data for data analysis. Able to modify and run queries and standard reports from data tools and provide to users. Can identify data values and data sources. Is familiar with data modeling.
  
  Can interview business customers to elicit data requirements and understand the relationships between data items.

  Has provided continuous analysis and evaluation of assignment work processes, constantly striving for improvement in the way tasks and activities are accomplished by questioning their value to the process and contributing creative solutions. • Equipment Maintenance:
  Possesses sufficient fundamental proficiency to successfully demonstrate the ability to maintain equipment, products, or systems in practical applications of moderate difficulty. Assures that parts inventory is sufficient.
• Diagnostic Testing:
  Demonstrates proficiency of diagnostic testing in practical applications. Possesses sufficient knowledge, training, and experience to be capable of successfully delivering results.
