Part of the NAGASE Group, Prinova is a global supplier of ingredients and premix manufacturing solutions for food, beverage, and nutrition brands. This role is part of the Purchasing Department and reports to the Senior Purchasing Manager.

• Assist Category Manager/Category Specialist in day-to-day purchasing tasks.
• Obtain supplier confirmation of specifications, delivery schedules, price, and terms.
• Prepare purchase orders and obtain approvals according to signature authority levels.
• Place purchase orders and secure written supplier acknowledgement of purchasing terms with prescribed deadlines.
• Communicate confirmed deliveries and any exceptions to internal customers.
• Monitor outstanding purchase orders and ensure suppliers meet delivery commitments.
• Coordinate rush orders with suppliers as needed.
• Establish trust and build effective relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders for short- and long-term collaboration.
• Drive continuous improvement in purchasing and help develop best-practice process documentation.
• Manage freight claims to ensure timely filing and disposition with third-party logistics providers or carriers as contracted.
• Coordinate returns or disposal of rejected materials (RMAs) and notify the Accounting Department of related costs.
• Participate in weekly team meetings and supplier business reviews as needed.
• Handle requests for raw/packaging materials from other departments in a timely manner.
• Maintain a positive and productive work environment; demonstrate professionalism in all interactions.
• Stay informed of trends and advances relevant to commodity responsibilities.
• Follow cGMP guidelines and department SOPs; perform other duties as needed.

• High school diploma or GED required;
  Bachelor’s degree in business, operations or technical field, or relevant work experience preferred.
• 3–5 years of purchasing experience.
• Good internal and external communication skills; customer-service oriented.
• Analytical and mathematical abilities; strong attention to detail.
• Proactive, take-charge attitude with initiative; effective negotiation skills.
• Experience with ERP systems and MS Office; ability to summarize information for management review.
• Knowledge of current good manufacturing practice (cGMP) requirements preferred.
• Ability to sit/stand for extended periods; ability to adjust work schedule as needed; capable of occasional warehouse rounds and exposure to varying smells/aromas.
