We are looking for a Manufacturing Process Engineer to support new product launches, improve production processes, and drive operational excellence within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This position works closely with production, maintenance, quality, and suppliers to ensure efficient manufacturing operations while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities- Develop manufacturing processes for new products and production programs.
- Create process flows, work instructions, labor estimates, and manufacturing documentation.
- Design production floor layouts to maximize efficiency and support Lean Manufacturing principles.
- Coordinate engineering activities during new product launches.
- Support production by troubleshooting manufacturing and process-related issues.
- Lead root cause investigations using 8D and other structured problem‑solving methods.
- Drive continuous improvement efforts focused on safety, quality, productivity, and cost reduction.
- Prepare and manage Engineering Change documentation.
- Utilize AIAG Core Tools throughout product launches and production support.
- Assist with equipment installation, facility improvements, and manufacturing line modifications.
- Coordinate maintenance activities and equipment improvements.
- Validate manufacturing equipment with outside suppliers.
- Travel to customer facilities and supplier locations when required.
- Maintain a strong commitment to workplace safety.
- Work flexible schedules, including overtime and weekends when necessary.
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.
- Experience in manufacturing, production engineering, or process engineering.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes.
- Working knowledge of AIAG Core Tools.
- Experience with robotics or automated manufacturing equipment.
- Automotive manufacturing experience.
- Excellent communication and project management skills.
- Strong problem‑solving and organizational abilities.
- 3-5 years of manufacturing engineering experience.
- Maintenance planning or supervisory experience.
- Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement experience.
