Job Description - Seasonal Registered Nurse - EP Lab (260001RR)

Inter Health Medical Staffing Solutions, a for‑profit staffing division of Tampa General Hospital, offers a 13‑week contract for a Seasonal Registered Nurse in the EP Lab. The position includes higher base pay and benefits. Applicants must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in the specific division and must be competent to work independently.

Provides direct care to patients using the nursing process—assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation—during cardiac/interventional radiology procedures. Performs all technical nursing care aspects per Hospital policies and procedures, under the supervision of the Department Director and Nursing Director.

Duties include:

• Patient assessment, monitoring vital signs, and administering medications per physician instructions.
• Keeping and updating patient records and charts for procedures in the cardiac catheterization laboratory/Interventional Radiology.
• Assisting with life‑saving actions such as CPR and defibrillation.
• Monitoring patients during conscious sedation per physician instructions.
• Administering medication during advanced interventional cardiac/peripheral procedures such as STEMI, PCI, balloon angioplasty, and stent placement.

• Education:
  
  Associate's Degree in Nursing minimum.
• Licenses/Certifications:
  
  FL RN license; BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications required.
• Minimum 1 year experience in the Cath Lab.
