As one of the fastest growing warehousing and logistics companies in North America, we’re looking for an experienced QUALITY TECHNICIAN – FIRST SHIFT.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES- Maintain quality‑assurance processes, testing products, and recording and analyzing results data during product development and manufacturing.
- Ensuring adherence to product quality standards.
- Perform Internal Audits of Process to include Layered Audits.
- Photograph and report supplier non‑conformance.
- Partner with the business to drive corrective action and five phase reporting.
- Involved in multi‑disciplinary five phase problem solving teams that directly drives company’s continuous improvement process and policies.
- Use calibrated lab equipment and other tools to verify product characteristics and attributes.
- Conduct Error proofing Checks and notify Supervisor of any Failures.
- Responsible for torque click inspections and verifying fasteners are in place and in adherence to policy.
- Processes scrap for the facility.
- Completes audits in reference to CLI quality standards and GM requirements.
- Performs containment processes in event of quality defects.
- Other Duties as required.
- A minimum of a High School Diploma is required.
- Automotive, manufacturing and/or third‑party logistics experience is preferred or other Warehousing/Distribution experience.
- Previous experience in a quality technician or related role.
- Ability to interpret technical specifications and documentation.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify defects or non-conformities.
- Must have a minimum of 1‑2 years’ experience in quality, preferably in a manufacturing setting. Automotive experience is also necessary.
- Must have a mechanical aptitude in reference to measuring, gauging, and inspection of parts.
- Must have excellent leadership, teamwork, and critical thinking skills.
- Must have excellent organizational and analytical skills.
- Must have a high level of motivation and attention to detail.
- Proactive problem‑solving ability and strong strategic thinking skills.
- Ability to apply good judgment, strong work ethic, and integrity on the job.
Hours:
6:00 am to 2:30 pm plus approved overtime.
